L. Roderick Anderson, MDA graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Anderson is board-certified in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology. He completed his Neurology Residency as well as a Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Arizona.

Prior to joining Carondelet Neurological Institute, Dr. Anderson held an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Arizona, where he was a Co-Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Team and a neurosonologist in the Vascular Lab. He has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in numerous clinical research trials involving both the acute treatment and prevention of stroke.

Dr. Anderson has been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2000, and recently was recertified in 2010. He received his Vascular Neurology board certification in 2009. He is a professional member of both the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association.

He remains active as a neurosonologist interpreting transcranial Doppler studies at the Carondelet Neurological Institute where he is also the Director of Vascular Neurology. He is a member of the Brain Attack Team helping lead the Carondelet Neurological Institute in obtaining Primary Stroke Center certification/recertification as well as providing telestroke coverage to Southern Arizona. He practices both vascular and general neurology.

I really like doc Anderson. took the time to explain. do manual test for my problems. came up with other test brat need to be done at the hospital to discover the cause of my problems

Dr Anderson is the best neurologist in town. He has let me cry and he listened. He helped me through very rough times. I never feel rushed when I am seeing him for an appointment. He is very thorough. I've seen other neurologists in town and he is by far, the most caring doctor out there.
