About Dr. Shauger
Kenneth Shauger, MD joins Western Neuro and Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Neurohospitalist.
He has practiced general neurology with focus on Neurohospitalist work for over fifteen years. In addition, he spent time in academic medicine, having taught medical students and residents for more than 17 years. He also has experience in EEG and EMG.
Dr. Shauger is Board Certified in Adult Neurology and a professional member of the American Academy of Neurology.
He enjoys challenging cases, and has a key interest in the diagnosis of encephalopathy. Additional medical interests include unexplained encephalopathy, nonconvulsive status epilepticus, neurological side effects of medication, unusual causes of stroke, Guillain-Barre syndrome, neurological infections, and myelopathies.
Dr. Shauger enjoys hiking, fishing, travel, playing guitar and singing, and learning foreign languages. He has been visiting the Tucson area for several years and especially frequents the local music scene.
